SUPPORTING FAR
The Friends of the Appomattox River is an independent, not-for profit, Virginia corporation run by volunteers. All funds received by FAR go toward supporting the mission of the organization. All activities, including fiscal operations, are governed by a set of bylaws and managed by a Board of Directors elected by the organization’s membership. The organization does not have any employees and Board members are not compensated for their services

Individuals, families, businesses and students are invited to join the Friends of the Appomattox River and participate in activities to improve the health of the watershed and promote recreational access to the river. Canoe or kayak ownership is not required - only a love for our waterways.
